It's a tough time to be a supporter of the Lambs right now – there's no way of sugar-coating it. Does that stop the loyal fans from giving up hope? No, it doesn't, and there's still more than half a season to go until the final whistle. The question is, can Tamworth do something to pull it back before Christmas?

Well, that might be pushing it as there are only six games left before Christmas. What the club can do, is to start turning things around and moving up the table to show the fans there's still a fire burning inside the club's belly. Let's explore.

FA Cup Performances

While the Lambs aren't having the best luck in the league so far, they are competing well in the FA cup and have the chance to enter into the Third Round. They're currently in the second round – so it's still early days, but the club is hoping to prove they've still got what it takes to fight through a tournament. Although – they did draw one game and lose the other – but have still made it through to the second round of the FA cup.

Their performances are nothing like that of the top clubs in the premier league. When you look at the likes of Chelsea and how Chelsea tickets fly off the shelf, Tamworth doesn't dominate the field, league, and fans like major league clubs, at least not in this season. Is it a run of bad luck? Well, perhaps the Lambs can turn it around with their conquest through the FA Cup – although there are some strong teams they'll have to face.

League Performances

Looking at the league now, 9th for this point in the season isn't that bad when you look at the performance of other years. The season is well underway, and although the Lambs are suffering a streak of losses at the minute, it doesn't mean all is lost. So far, they have managed to win seven games, lost six and draw three.

And some good games are coming up that the Lambs should be able to break their losing streak with. One they're hoping to win is against AFC Rushden and Diamonds – a team that sits just above them in the league. The Lambs are also due to play Biggleswade Town that currently sits 12th – a match that should be an easy win for the club.

What's In Store For The Rest Of The League?

It's all to play for with the rest of the season – and it should be an exciting one. Whether the Lambs will improve before Christmas is yet to be seen, and a few games are coming up for both the league and the cup that should prove whether the Lambs have what it takes to step up their game. There are some strong teams and players in the league this year, so the lambs will need to step up their game if they want to come close to the top.

Tamworth has a great team spirit, one that you can't break with a streak of losses. The Lambs are instead fuelled by the FA Cup drama and their chance of pushing through the league. There are many games left in the season that'll help decide where they will end up.
