1969 (College Football): In a Southwest Conference battle of unbeatens, #1 Texas rallies from a 14-0 deficit entering the 4th quarter to defeat #2 Arkansas 15-14. The Longhorns failed to cover as a 7½-point road favorite. Texas would go on to defeat Notre Dame 21-17 in the Cotton Bowl and be the top ranked team in the final AP Poll.
2000 (NBA): Antawn Jamison and Kobe Bryant each score 51 points in the Golden State Warriors 125-122 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors were 8-point home underdogs. It was only the 3rd time in NBA history that opposing players each scored at least 50 points in a game. The previous time happened on December 14, 1962 and was also a Warriors vs Lakers matchup when San Francisco's Wilt Chaberlain had 63 points and Los Angeles' Elgin Baylor scored 51 points in the Lakers' 120-118 road victory.
2003 (College Football) : #1 Oklahoma's perfect season and National Championship hopes come to an end after a 35-7 loss to #13 Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship Game. The Wildcats were a 14-point underdog in the game played in Kansas City, MO. K-State junior running back Darren Sproles had 323 yards from scrimmage and caught a 60-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ell Roberson who threw for 227 yards and 4 touchdowns.
