1975 (Boxing): The Thrilla in Manila - fighting each other for the third time, Muhammad Ali TKO's Smokin' Joe Frazier in the 14th round and retains the heavyweight title. Ali was a -200 favorite as he improved to 49-2. The fight was stopped after the 14th round when Frazier's chief second, Eddie Futch, asked the referee to stop the fight.


2007 (MLB): The Colorado Rockies score 3 runs off of Trevor Hoffman in the bottom of the 13th inning to beat the San Diego Padres 9-8 in Game #163 to give the Rockies the National League Wild Card spot. The Rockies were +118 home favorites for the tiebreaker game that took 4 hours and 40 minutes. Matt Holliday of the Rockies scored on a bang-bang play at the plate on a shallow Jamey Carroll sacrifice fly. It was the Rockies 14th victory in 15 games as they would go on to reach their first World Series but eventually get swept by the Boston Red Sox.


2016 (College Football): Jauan Jennings catches a 43-yard hail mary TD from Josh Dobbs as time expired to give #11 Tennessee a 34-31 victory over #25 Georgia. The Volunteers failed to cover as 3½-point home favorites as they were not required to kick the extra point.
