1998 (MLB): Chicago Cubs' rookie Kerry Wood ties Roger Clemens' MLB record of striking out 20 batters in a nine inning game as he throws a one-hitter in a 2-0 victory over the Houston Astros. The Cubs were +100 home underdogs for the game as Wood would finish the season 13-6 and take home National League Rookie of the Year honors.
