1978 (Boxing): At the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans - 36-year old Muhammad Ali wins for the last time in his career and becomes the first 3-time lineal heavyweight champion after defeating Leon Spinks in a unanimous 15-round decision. Ali was a -250 favorite for the fight as he regained the heavyweight title after having lost to Spinks 7 months earlier. Spinks would not get a rematch as Ali retired after the fight - although he came out of retirement unsuccessfully 2 years later to fight Larry Holmens and Trevor Berbick.


2013 (NFL): Aaron Rodgers throws 4 touchdowns and a career-high 480 yards in the Green Bay Packers 38-20 victory over Washington. The Packers covered as 8-point home favorites and the game went over the total of 48½-points.


2017 (MLB): The Cleveland Indians has its American League record win streak halted at 22 games after losing 4-3 to the Kansas City Royals. The Royals were +190 road underdogs and the game stayed under the total of 9 runs. Cleveland came within 4 wins of matching the MLB record held by the 1916 New York Giants.


2020 (NBA): The Denver Nuggets defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 104-89 in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals to become the first team in NBA history to come back from 3 games to 1 down in two series within the same postseason. The Nuggets were 7½-point underdogs for the game and entered Game 1 as +850 underdogs to win the series. Down 3-1, they were +3000 to come back and advance to the next round. They would go on to lose to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Conference Finals.
