2012 (Golf): Tiger Woods wins the AT&T National at Congressional by two strokes over Bo Van Pelt. Woods, who entered as the +550 favorite to win the tournament, earned his 74th career victory moving him past Jack Nicklaus for 2nd place on the all-time list - 8 short of Sam Snead's record.
2014 (Tennis): 19 year-old Australian Nick Kyrgios defeats #2 seed Rafael Nadal 7-6, 5-7, 7-6, 6-3 in the round of 16 at Wimbledon. Kyrgios, who was a +800 underdog to win the match, was ranked 144th in the world coming into the tournament and needed a Wild Card to enter the main draw. He became the lowest-ranked player to defeat the world number one at a Grand Slam tournmanet since 1992. Kyrgios would lose in the next round to Canadian Milos Raonic in 4 sets.
