1986 (NBA): Dominique Wilkins matches a career-high with 57 points and outduels Michael Jordan, who scored 41 points, in the Atlanta Hawks 123-95 victory over the Chicago Bulls. The Hawks covered as 12-point home favorites as they improved to 16-4 on the season. Wilkins was 19-for-28 from the floor, collected 9 rebounds and had 4 assists. Jordan would go on to finish the season with a career-high 37.1 points per game to lead the league in scoring average while Wilkins finished 2nd at 29.0 PPG.


2008 (NBA): Carmelo Anthony scores 33 points in the 3rd quarter to match George Gervin's NBA record for points in a quarter as the Denver Nuggets defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-105. The Nuggets failed to cover as 13-point home favorites and the game went over the total of 208.5 points. Anthony finished with a season-high 45 points on the night. The record for most points in a quarter was broken by Klay Thompson six seasons later when he scored 37 points.


2016 (College Football): For the first time in 15 years, Army defeats Navy with a 21-17 victory. The Black Knights were a 5½-point underdog and the game went under the total of 46½-points. Army rushed for 316 yards and their defense held Navy to only 8 first downs.
