1977 (NFL): As a 12-point home underdog, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win their first game in franchise history and end their 26-game losing streak with a 33-14 victory over the 3-9 New Orleans Saints. The Saints turned the ball over 7 times as starting quarterback Archie Manning and backup Bobby Scott each threw 3 interceptions.


1982 (NFL): Dan Fouts passes for 444 yards and 5 touchdowns and outduels Joe Montana as the San Diego Chargers defeats the San Francisco 49ers in a 41-37 shootout. The Chargers were 2-point road underdogs and the game went over the total of 47 points. Kellen Winslow, Charlie Joiner and Wes Chandler each had 100+ yards receiving and Chandler was on the receiving end of 3 of Fouts' 5 touchdown passes.


2006 (NFL): Devin Hester returns 2 kickoffs for a touchdown in the Chicago Bears 42-27 win over the St Louis Rams. The Bears covered as a 6½-point road favorite and scored enough points to cover the over of 41½-points on their own. Hester's touchdowns were 94 and 96 yards as he finished the day with 246 total return yards and 3 tackles.
