1983 (NBA): The Indiana Pacers snap a 28-game road losing streak with a 133-132 victory over the Denver Nuggets. The Pacers were a 10-point underdog as reserve guard George Johnson scored the go-ahead layup with 28 seconds left. Their previous road victory came on February 15th of the previous season when they defeated the Chicago Bulls 113-110.
1985 (NFL): Stephone Paige sets an NFL record with 309 receiving yards in the Kansas City Chiefs 38-34 victory over the San Diego Chargers. The Chiefs were a 2-point home favorite and the game went over the total of 46 points. Paige had 8 receptions, including touchdown catches of 56 and 84 yards. The Chiefs had only 34 yards receiving among their other position players. Paige's record would only stand for 4 seasons when LA Rams wide receiver Willie "Flipper" Anderson had 336 yards on November 26, 1989.
2003 (NFL): One day after the death of his father, Brett Favre throws for 311 yards and 4 touchdowns in the 1st half alone to lead the Green Bay Packers in a 41-7 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football. The Packers covered as 5½-point road favorites and the game went over the total of 48 points. Favre finished the day completing 22-of-30 passes for 399 yards.
