1988 (NFL): As a 10½-point road underdog, the Minnesota Vikings stun the top seeded San Francisco 49ers 36-24. The game went over the total of 46½-points as the Vikings raced out to a 20-3 halftime lead and never trailed. 49ers quarterback Joe Montana was replaced by Steve Young midway through the 3rd quarter after throwing for 109 yards, no touchdowns and 1 interception. Vikings wide receiver Anthony Carter caught 10 passes for 227 yards and quarterback Wade Wilson threw for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns.


2016 (NFL): In an AFC Wild Card game, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Cincinnati Benglas 18-16 after Chris Boswell's 35-yard field goal with 14 seconds left. The Steelers failed to cover as 2½-point road favorites and the game stayed under the total of 45 points. The Bengals came back from a 15-0 deficit in the 4th quarter but imploded on the Steelers game-winning drive when they had two unnecessary roughness penalties to set up Boswell's winning kick.


2017 (College Football): Hunter Renfrow's 2-yard touchdown catch from Deshaun Watson with 1 second left in the game gives Clemson a 35-31 victory over Alabama in the National Championship at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. The Tigers were a 6½-point underdog and the game went over the total of 51 points. Watson finished the game passing for 420 yards and 3 touchdowns.
