1988 (MLB): With 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th inning in Game 1 of the World Series, injured Kirk Gibson hits a 2-run walk off pinch-hit home run off of Dennis Eckersley to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a dramatic 5-4 victory over the Oakland Athletics. The Dodgers were +110 home underdogs for the game and the game went over the total of 6½-runs. Los Angeles would go on to win the series in 5 games as they entered Game 1 as +170 underdogs to win the series.


2005 (College Football): #1 USC earn their 28th straight victory with a 34-31 win over #9 Notre Dame after Trojans quarterback Matt Leinart spins his way in for a touchdown with 3 seconds left. The Trojans failed to cover as a 12-point road favorite and the game went under the total of 71 points. USC would extend their winning streak to 34 games before losing to Texas in the Rose Bowl.


2007 (MLB): The Colorado Rockies win for the 21st time in 22 games after defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-4 to sweep the NLCS and reach their first World Series. The Rockies were -165 favorites for the game and entered Game 1 as -130 series favorites. Prior to the start of the season, Colorado was +3500 to win the National League Pennant.
