1985 (NFL): With the score tied at 7-7 midway through the 2nd quarter, Washington Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann suffers a gruesome career-ending injury after a sack by New York Giants linebackers Lawrence Taylor and Harry Carson. Backup Jay Schroeder would take over at quarterback and throw the game-winning 14-yard touchdown pass to Clint Didier to give the Redskins a 23-21 victory. The game was a push as Washington was a 2-point home favorite and the game went over the total of 37 points.


2006 (College Football): In a battle of unbeatens, #1 Ohio State defeats #2 Michigan 42-39 as Buckeye quarterback Troy Smith passes for 316 yards and 4 touchdowns. Ohio State failed to cover as 6½-point home favorites and the game went over the total of 40½-points. The Buckeyes would go on to lose in the National Championship to Florida 41-14.


2012 (NFL): Quarterback Matt Schaub passes for 527 yards and 5 touchdowns including the walk-off game winner to Andre Johnson in overtime in the Houston Texans 43-37 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Texans failed to cover as 15½-point home favorites and the game went over the total of 40½-points. The 527 yards matched Warren Moon for 2nd most passing yards in a single game. Johnson finished with 14 catches for 273 yards.
