1991 (Boxing): 24-year old Mike Tyson defeats Donovan "Razor" Ruddock by TKO 2:22 into the 7th round. Tyson was a -550 favorite for the fight and -400 to win by knockout as he improved to 40-1 in his career.


1993 (College Basketball): As a 19½ point underdog, Santa Clara becomes the 2nd #15 seed in NCAA Tournament history to advance after beating #2 seed Arizona 64-61 in the first round. The Broncos were led by junior forward Pete Eisenrich who had 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Freshman guard Steve Nash scored 10 points and had 7 rebounds and 4 assists in coming off the bench. Santa Clara's run would come to an end in the next game when they lost 68-57 to #7 seed Temple as a 10-point underdog.


2016 (College Basketball): #15 seed Middle Tennessee State upsets #2 seed Michigan State 90-81. The Blue Raiders were a 16½ point underdog and around +1500 on the money line. Each of their starters scored in double figures and were led by junior forward Reggie Upshaw who had 21 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Middle Tennessee State would go on to lose 75-50 in the next round to #10 seed Syracurse as a 6-point underdog.
