1965 (Boxing): As a +130 underdog, Muhammad Ali knocks out Sonny Liston 2:12 into the first round and produces what some consider the greatest sports photograph of all time. Liston was looking to regain the heavyweight title from Ali after their first match 15 months earlier.


1975 (NBA): The Golden State Warriors complete a 4-game sweep of the Washington Bullets after a 96-95 road victory to win the NBA Championship. The Warriors entered the series as +170 underdogs to win the title as Rick Barry won the Finals MVP award after averaging 29.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists during the series.


1991 (NHL): The Pittsburgh Penguins capture their first Stanley Cup after blowing out the Minnesota North Stars 8-0 for a 4-2 series win. The Penguins entered Game 1 as -155 series favorites and were 30-1 to win the title before the season began. Mario Lemieux had 12 points during the series and took home the Conn Smythe award.
