1962 (NBA): Behind Bill Russell's 30 points and 40 rebounds, the Boston Celtics defeat the Los Angeles Lakers, 110-107 in overtime, in game 7 of the NBA Finals. The Celtics failed to cover the spread as 7-point favorites as they won they won their 4th of 8 straight championships.
2007 (MLB): Mark Buehrle throws the 16th no-hitter in Chicago White Sox history as they defeat the Texas Rangers, 6-0. The White Sox were -111 favorites and the total was set at 9. Buehrle's only blemish was a walk to Sammy Sosa in the 5th inning but he was later picked off leading to the southpaw facing the minimum 27 batters.
