1999 (College Football): At the SEC Championship game played in Atlanta, #7 Alabama defeats #5 Florida 34-7. The Crimson Tide were 7-point underdogs and the game stayed under the total of 52 points. Alabama's defense held the Gators to 6 first downs and 114 yards from scrimmage. Alabama had defeated Florida in a 40-39 shootout earlier in the season.
2009 (NBA): With a 97-91 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats, the New Jersey Nets end their 18-game losing streak to start the season. The Nets were a 3½-point home underdog and the game went over the total of 183 points as Nets center Brook Lopez led all scorers with 31 points. The streak is tied with the 2015-16 Philadelphia 76ers for the longest losing streak to start an NBA season.
2016 (NFL): With 4:32 left in the game, Eric Barry's 2-point return puts the Kansas City Chiefs back in the lead and turns out to be the game winner in their 29-28 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The Chiefs were a 5-point road underdog the game went over the total of 50 points. Berry also had a 37-yard interception return late in the 1st half and was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
