1978 (NBA): In Game 7 of the NBA Finals, the Washington Bullets go on the road as 5-point underdogs and beat the Seattle SuperSonics 105-99 to win their first NBA Championship. Entering Game 1 the Bullets were +120 underdogs to win the series. Wes Unseld was named Finals MVP despite only averaging 9 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game during The Finals.

2008 (Horse Racing): Going wire-to-wire Da' Tara wins the 140th Belmont Stakes by 5½ lengths as a 38-1 longshot. Big Brown, attempting to become the first horse to win the Triple Crown in 30 years, finished in last place as the horse was eased up towards the end of the race once Da' Tara pulled away with the victory. Big Brown, who was a 1-4 favorite, became the first Triple Crown hopeful at the Belmont to finish in last place.
2009 (Tennis): After losing to Rafael Nadal the previous 4 years at the French Open, Roger Federer wins the tournament for the first time after defeating Robin Soderling 6-1, 7-6, 6-4. Federer was a -370 favorite for the match and entered the tournament at +500 to win the title as he completed the career Grand Slam. Soderling took out Nadal one week earlier in the 4th round.

2012 (NBA): With the Miami Heat down 3-2 in their Eastern Conference Finals series vs the Boston Celtics, LeBron James scores 30 of his 45 points in the first half as the Heat force a Game 7 by defeating the Celtics 98-79. Miami was a 2-point road favorite and entered the game as +130 underdogs to comeback and win the series. They would go on to win Game 7 in Miami and then win the NBA Finals over the Oklahoma City Thunder in 5 games.
2018 (NHL): The Washington Capitals defeat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals to clinch their first title in franchise history. The Capitals were +145 road underdogs for the game and entered Game 1 as +133 underdogs to win the series. Alex Ovechkin, playing in his 13th year for the Capitals, won the Conn Smythe Trophy as Washington entered the season with odds of +1125 to win the Stanley Cup.
