1984 (MLB): In a game that was suspended the night before in the 17th inning, the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers play the longest MLB game in history and ends with a walk-off homer by Harold Bains in the 25th inning giving giving the White Sox a 7-6 victory. The oddsmakers made the game a pick 'em as Tom Seaver, who would later start and pitch 8⅓ innings in the nightcap, picks up the win after pitching one inning of relief. The game lasted a total of 8 hours and 6 minutes.

2010 (MLB): With his Grandmother in attendence on Mother's Day, Oakland Athletics pitcher Dallas Braden becomes the 19th pitcher to throw a perfect game in the Athletics 4-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Oakland was a +135 home underdog as Braden struck out 6 in a game that was played in a brisk 2 hours and 7 minutes.

2018 (NBA): As 1½-point favorites, the #2 seeded Boston Celtics close out the #3 seeded Philadelphia 76ers, 114-112, in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series. Despite having home-court advantage in the series, the Celtics were +415 series underdogs due to being without guard Kyrie Irving (left knee injury). Boston would lose in the next round to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 7 games.
