1973 (College Football): #1 Ohio State and #4 Michigan, both undefeated, knock each other out the title chase after they play to a 10-10 tie. The Wolverines covered as 3-point home underdogs.


1991 (NFL): The Dallas Cowboys hand the 11-0 Washington Redskins their first loss of the season with a 24-21 victory. The Cowboys were 12½-point road underdogs and the game went over the total of 42 points. Running back Emmitt Smith ran the ball 34 times for 132 yards and one touchdown and Michael Irvin caught 9 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown.


2013 (NFL): The New England Patriots overcome a 24-0 halftime deficit to beat the Denver Broncos 34-31 in overtime on Sunday Night Football. The Patriots were 2½-point home underdogs and the game went over the total of 54 points. New England quarterback Tom Brady threw for 344 yards and 3 touchdowns. 2 months later, the Broncos would get revenge by defeating the Patriots in the AFC Conference Championship 26-16.
