1980 (Golf): At Oak Hill CC in Rochester, New York - 40 year-old Jack Nicklaus wins the PGA Championship for the 5th and final time with a dominating 7-stroke victory over fellow American Andy Bean. Nicklaus entered the tournament at +600 to win the title behind Tom Watson at +400 and Lee Trevino at +500. Nicklaus would go on to win one more major championship at the 1986 Masters.


1995 (MLB): The last forfeited game in MLB history - trailing 2-1 with one out in the bottom of the 9th, the Los Angeles Dodgers are forced to forfeit the game after fans throw promotional souvenir baseballs on the field for the 3rd time over the course of the game. The Dodgers were -260 favorites as the game marked the first forfeit since Disco Demolition Night in Chicago on July 12, 1979.


2008 (Golf): At Oakland Hills CC in Michigan - Padraig Harrington wins his 3rd major championship in 13 months at the PGA Championship by 2 strokes over Ben Curtis and Sergio Garcia. Harrington entered the tournament at 20-1 to win the title as 2-time defending champ Tiger Woods was unable to compete due to a season-ending knee surgery after his victory at the U.S. Open in June.
