1989 (MLB): With former U.S. President Ronald Regan in the broadcast booth alongside Vin Scully, Bo Jackson hits a mammoth lead-off home run in the bottom of the 1st of the 60th All-Star Game played at Anaheim Stadium. Jackson would go on to win the MVP as the American League beat the National League 5-3. The AL was a -120 favorite and the game went over the total of 7½. Wade Boggs followed up Jackson's homer with a home run of his own marking the first time since 1975 that the midsummer classic saw back-to-back home runs.
2010 (Soccer): Andres Iniesta scores an extra time winner as Spain wins their first World Cup title after defeating the Netherlands 1-0. Spain was a
-180 favorite to win the game and entered the tournament as the favorite at +350 to win the title.
2018 (Tennis): South African Kevin Anderson comes back from 2 sets to love down to defeat 8-time champion Roger Federer 2-6, 6-7, 7-5, 6-4, 13-11 in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon. Anderson was a +850 underdog for the match and would go on to defeat American John Isner 26-24 in the 5th set of the semifinals - a match that led to a rule change that calls for a tiebreaker at 12-12 in the deciding set.
