1994 (College Football): In the Miracle at Michigan, #7 Colorado defeats #4 Michigan 27-26 after Kordell Stewart's hail mary finds Michael Westbrook for the game winning 64-yard touchdown as time expired. The Buffaloes were 4½-point road underdogs.
1994 (College Football): #17 Washington beats #6 Miami (FL) 38-20 to end the Hurricanes NCAA-record 58-game home winning streak that spanned over 9 years. The Huskies were 15-point road underdogs and the game went over the total of 44 points.
1994 (Boxing): At Wembley Arena in London, England - Oliver McCall stuns heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis with a knockout 31 seconds into the 2nd round. McCall was a +550 underdog for the fight as Lewis suffered the first loss of his professional career and fell to 25-1.
2012 (NFL): Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson connects with Golden Tate on the 'Fail Mary' to give the Seahawks a 14-12 victory over the Green Bay Packers. Packers defender M.D. Jennings appeared to have come down with the interception but the replacement referees awarded the ball and touchdown to Tate and the Seahawks. Up until that play, the Packers were covering the spread as 3½-point road favorites. The NFL and the NFL Referees Association reached an agreement to end the lockout two days later.
