1988 (NBA): The Boston Celtics' 4-year reign as Eastern Conference champions comes to an end after the Detroit Pistons beat the Celtics 95-90 in Game 6 of the Conference Finals. The Pistons covered as 4½-point home favorites and entered Game 1 as +200 underdogs to win the series. Vinnie Johnson came off the bench to lead the Pistons with 24 points as Detroit would go on to lose in 7 games to the LA Lakers in The Finals.

1992 (NBA): The Chicago Bulls defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 122-89 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Bulls covered as 6½-point home favorites as Michael Jordan set Finals records for points in a half (35) and 3-pointers made in one half (6). Chicago entered Game 1 as -250 favorites to win the series as they would go on to defend the title in 6 games.
2012 (Golf): Tiger Woods overcomes a 4-stroke final round deficit by shooting a 5-under round of 67 to win the Memorial Tournament for the 5th time in his career - two strokes ahead of Andres Romero and Rory Sabbatini. Woods was +1200 to win the tournament that Jack Nicklaus founded as he tied Nicklaus' mark of 73 career PGA Tour wins for second all time.
