1991 (MLB): The Minnesota Twins defeat the Atlanta Braves 1-0 in 10 innings in Game 7 of the World Series to win their 2nd championship in 5 seasons. The Twins were -120 home favorites as Jack Morris pitched 10 scoreless innings and was named World Series MVP. It was one of the most unlikely finals matchups in sports history as both teams finished last in their respective divisions in the previous season. Entering the season, Minnesota was 80-1 to win the World Series - the longest odds of any team to go on and win since 1985 (as far back as our site has).

2004 (MLB): The Boston Red Sox end their World Series championship drought of 86 years after sweeping the St Louis Cardinals with a 3-0 victory in Game 4. The Red Sox were +110 road underdogs for the game and they entered Game 1 as -145 favorites to win the series.

2013 (NFL): Calvin Johnson catches 14 balls for 329 yards and one touchdown in the Detroit Lions 31-30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The Lions failed to cover as 3-point home favorites and the game went over the total of 51 points. Johnson came up 7 yards short of breaking Flipper Anderson's single-game receiving yards record of 336 yards. The Lions won with 12 seconds left in the game after quarterback Matthew Stafford acted like he was going to spike the ball to to stop the clock but instead leapt over the line of scrimmage for a touchdown to tie the game and David Akers extra point put the Lions ahead.
