1987 (NFL): Joe Montana and Jerry Rice put on a clinic in the San Francisco 49ers' 38-24 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday Night Football. Montana threw for 342 yards and 4 touchdowns with 3 of those going to Rice who caught 7 passes for 126 yards. The 49ers easily covered as 3-point home favorites and the game flew over the total of 46½-points.


1998 (NFL): After a questionable defensive pass interference call in the end zone with no time left on the clock, the New England Patriots get one last play and Drew Bledsoe hits Ben Coates for a 1-yard touchdown pass to put the Patriots up 23-21 over the Buffalo Bills. The Bills walked off the field in protest for the point after attempt allowing kicker Adam Vinatieri to walk it for a 2-point conversion to give New England a 25-21 victory. The Patriots were a 2-point home favorite and the game went over the total of 38 points.
