1965 (College Basketball): Gail Goodrich scored 42 points as UCLA wins the National Championship for the 2nd straight year after defeating Michigan 91-80 . The Bruins covered the spread as a 10-point favorite.


1994 (College Basketball): As an 8-point underdog, #9 seed Boston College defeats #1 seed North Carolina 75-72 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Each of the Eagles starters scored in double figures as they were led by senior guard Gerrod Abram who scored 21 points and had 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Since the Tournament moved to 64 teams in 1985, Boston College became the first #9 seed to advance to the Sweet 16. They would go on to lose 74-66 in the Elite 8 to #3 seed Florida as a 1½-point underdog.


2010 (College Basketball): In the 2nd round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, #9 seed Northern Iowa beats #1 seed Kansas 69-67. The Panthers were an 11½-point underdog and +600 on the money line. They would go on to lose 59-52 to #5 seed Michigan State in the next round.
