1970 (College Basketball): UCLA wins their 4th straight National Championship, defeating Jacksonville 80-69. The Bruins covered the spread as a 6-point favorite. Bruins sophomore forward Sidney Wicks was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player as he scored 17 points and had 18 rebounds in the title game.


1997 (College Basketball): In the Sweet 16, #4 seed Arizona defeats #1 seed Kansas 85-82. Arizona was a 10½-point underdog and +375 on the money line. Wildcats freshman guard Mike Bibby led the team with 21 points and had 5 assists. Arizona would go on to win the National Championship with an 84-79 victory over Kentucky


1997 (Boxing): Roy Jones Jr loses for the 1st time in his career when he was disqualified in the 9th round for hitting Montell Griffin (twice) after a knockdown. Griffin was a +500 underdog for the fight. The two would fight again 4½-months later as Jones Jr reclaimed the WBC light heavyeight title with a 1st round knockout.


2002 (College Basketball): In the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament - Missouri becomes the first #12 seed to reach the Elite Eight after defeating #8 seed UCLA 82-73. The Tigers were a 1½-point underdog and the game went over the total of 153 points. Senior guard Clarence Gilbert led Missouri with 23 points. The Tigers would go on to lose 81-75 to #2 Oklahoma in the next round as a 6-point underdog.


2021 (College Basketball): Oral Roberts becomes the second #15 seed to reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament after defeating #7 seed Florida 81-78 in Indianapolis. The Golden Eagles were 9-point underdogs and the game stayed just under the total of 149½-points. They would come up short in the next round, losing 72-70 to #3 seed Arkansas.
