Going back to 1965 (as far back as we have point spreads for National Championship games) it's the largest spread ever in a National Championship game. Freshman center Bill Walton led the way, scoring 24 points and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

1974 (College Basketball): Sophomore guard David Thompson scores 21 points as NC State defeats Marquette 76-64 to win their first National Championship. The Wolfpack covered as an 11-point favorite.

2010 (College Basketball): In the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament - #2 seed Kansas State outlasts #6 seed Xavier 101-96 in double overtime. The game was a push as the Wildcats were a 5-point favorite and the game flew over the total of 150 points. Kansas State was led by guard Jacob Pullen's 28 points as he went 6-for-12 from 3-point range.

2012 (Golf): Tiger Woods records his first official win after his off-course scandel in 2009 by winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational by 5 strokes over Grame McDowell. Woods was the pre-tournament favorite at +800 as he won the tournament for the 7th time.

2022 (College Basketball): St Peter's becomes the first #15 seed to reach the Elite Eight of the Men's NCAA Tournament after defeating #3 seed Purdue 67-64. The Peacocks, who were a 13-point underdog and +650 on the money line, were led by guard Daryl Banks III who had 14 points. St Peter's dream run would come to an end two days later after losing to #8 seed North Carolina by 20 points.
