2009 (Horse Racing): As a 50-1 long shot, Mine That Bird wins the 135th Kentucky Derby. Jockey Calvin Borel wins his second of three Kentucky Derbys in a four-year span.


2010 (Golf): Two days short of his 21st birthday, Rory McIlroy earns his 1st PGA Tour title at the Quail Hollow Championship in Charlotte, NC. McIlroy was 50-1 to win the tournament as he made the cut on the number and shot 66-62 over the weekend.


2015 (Boxing): As a -210 favorite, Floyd Mayweather Jr defeats Manny Pacquiao in a 12-round unanimous decision. Mayweather improved to 48-0 in a fight that many felt did not live up to years of high expectations.


2016 (Soccer) Preseason 5,000-1 long shot Leicester City wins the English Premier League after 2nd place Tottenham plays to a 2-2 draw at Chelsea.
