1981 (College Football): In what turns out to be their only win of the season, Georgia Tech stuns #2 Alabama 24-21. The Yellow Jackets were 24-point underdogs for the game played in Birmingham, Alabama. The Crimson Tide turned the ball over four times and kicker Peter Kim's 50-yard field goal attemp fell short as time expired that would have salvaged a tie.

1999 (Tennis): Andre Agassi wins his 2nd U.S. Open after defeating fellow American Todd Martin 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 6-3, 6-2. Agassi was a -360 favorite for the match and entered the tournament at +600 to win the title.

2010 (NFL): Arian Foster rushes for a franchise-record 231 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Houston Texans defeat the Indianapolis Colts 34-24. The Texans were 1-point home underdogs and the game went over the total of 47½-points. Foster became the first player in NFL history to rush for over 200 yards and 3 touchdown during week 1 of the regular season.
