1986 (Soccer): Argentina wins the World Cup for the second time in eight years after defeating West Germany 3-2 in the World Cup Final played at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Argentina was a -220 favorite for the game and entered the tournament at +300 to win the World Cup.
1990 (MLB): Two no-hitters are thrown on the same day for the first time since 1917 as Dave Stewart and the Oakland Athletics blank the Toronto Blue Jays 5-0 and Fernando Valenzuela shuts out the St Louis Carndinals in the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-0 victory. Both Oakland and Los Angeles were slight -120 favorites. It's the first time no-hitters were thrown in both leagues.
2011 (Tennis): In the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, #12 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga comes back from two sets to love down to defeat #3 seed Roger Federer 3-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. Tsonga was a +450 underdog for the match as Federer entered the tournament as the favorite to win the title.
