1978 (College Basketball): As a 4½-point favorite, Kentucky defeats Duke, 94-88, in the National Championship. Wildcat senior forward Jack Givens scored 41 points and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. It's the 5th title for the Wildcats, as they entered the tournament as the favorites to win it all at +500.


2011 (College Basketball): VCU becomes the third #11 seed to reach the Final Four after they topped #1 seed Kansas 71-61. The Rams were an 11½-point underdog and around +750 on the money line. Senior forward Jamie Skeen led all scorers with 26 points and had 10 rebounds. Prior to the start of the tournament, VCU was 125-1 to reach the Final Four. They would lose to #8 seed Butler, 70-62, in the National Semifinal.


2016 (College Basketball): Syracuse becomes the first #10 seed to reach the Final Four after defeating #1 seed Virginia 68-62. The Orange were 8-point underdogs and around +375 on the money line. Prior to the start of the tournament, Syracuse was 40-1 to reach the Final Four. They would go on to lose to #1 seed North Carolina, 83-66, in the National Semifinal.
